This blog is written by me, Steve Duncan. I’m an ex-mechanical engineer who found his way to marketing, while getting a P.E. license and MBA along the way. Naturally, while I may write about my job or company from time to time it must be understood that the views expressed here are strictly my own, and are not the views of my employer.
I’m married, and my wife, Susan, and I live with our daughters Elena and Ginny.
I began blogging in September of 2004. I have a lot of interests, and even now not all of them are mentioned on Lornitropia. Other blogs include:
- Recording Thoughts.
- The Milwaukee Real Estate Blog.
- Woodworking 411.
- Daily Cigar.
- Speak Strategy
I started this because of my obsession with pens, paper, notebooks, etc.
This began as a business blogging experiment with two friends who are in the business. It’s currently in hibernation, but we’ll be reviving it soon.
This began as a generic blog, but I’ll be posting more about my personal woodworking experiences in the future.
Some friends sent me a box of cigars, and I found them to be a great, if naughty & somewhat dirty, hobby.
I use Strategy! in my work, and really like both the product and the company so I decided to create a user forum for them. It’s also open to general non-customer discussion on competitive intelligence, business strategy, research and analysis as well.
